Sound Design, For A Sound Mind

Chris Bishop was born in 1986 in Lubbock, TX and raised in Artesia, NM. His father, Howard Bishop, and his mother, Wendy Bishop, raised Chris as an only child. At Artesia High School, Chris was involved in music and theater, where he played top chair clarinet and performed in numerous classic plays. Chris attended Eastern New Mexico University with the intention of majoring in Music Education. When he realized it wasn't his passion, he changed his major and graduated with a degree in Music with a minor in Music Technology. He occasionally continued acting in university plays, once holding a part in the cast of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Upon graduating, he moved to Colorado. Here, he is finishing up his Masters of Science in Recording Arts degree (2013). Before he became successful at Sound Design, however, Chris supported himself by working as a live sound engineer at local venues, most notably The Gothic Theater.
